We have recently installed a heating system for our outdoor swimming pool so that during the cooler months of November through to March the pool will be kept at a warmer temperature which is more suitable for the less able bodied. There is no extra charge for the heating.

The public areas have been designed with the disabled in mind and are all easily accessible by wheelchair.  There are plenty of ramps (without steep gradients!!)  allowing easy access to the pool area and to the road etc. (Our pool has a hoist to lower and elevate you whenever you feel like a dip)
HAND RAILS HAVE RECENTLY BEEN INSTALLED AS WELL AS  RAISED SUNBEDS
A boat trip to Fontana Amaroza is also possible, there is also a hoist for wheelchair users who feel brave enough to dip into the sea. The village square is an easy 4 minute roll away and the beach (WITH A BEACH ACCESS RAMP) takes approximately 20 minutes by electric wheelchair. It is easy as well by a manual wheelchair but there are some stages where you would appreciate a push.  The pavements of Polis are somehow suitable but upon reaching the end, you may not find a ramp. But since the roads are not busy, it is not so dangerous to simply stay on the road.  Both routes to village square and the beach are wheelchair friendly.
